October Events in Maidenhead
If you’re looking for things to do in October in Maidenhead Berkshire, we have rounded up events that will be taking place in October 2023 – and there’s something for everyone. Maidenhead Boundary Walk
The annual Maidenhead Boundary Walk will take place from Boulters Lock carpark on Sunday 1st October from 9am.
It is open to walkers of all ages and abilities. You can walk as a group, a family or individual. It is an opportunity to join in with this historical event and raise money for your chosen charity or just for fun. There is also a shorter walk as an alternative option.
Maidenhead Comic Con and Toy Fair
The Maidenhead Comic Con and Toy Fair returns to Braywick Leisure Centre on Sunday 1st October, 10am – 4pm.
Tickets are available on the door, or they are slightly cheaper if purchased online in advance.
There is a costume competition and see the Chief Hopper’s Truck from Stranger Things up close!
Family Fun Day
A-Plan Insurance will be hosting a family fun day to celebrate their new name Howden, on the Maidenhead High Street on Saturday 7th October between 10am – 3pm.
There will be free food, drinks, competitions, giveaways and family activities – such as face painting and jugglers.
Maidenhead Farmers’ Market
The Maidenhead Farmer’s Market returns on Sunday 8th October at Grove Road carpark SL6 1SQ between 9.30am – 1pm.
This independent market sells fresh quality produce – such as meat, fish, dairy, seasonal vegetables, preserves, bakery and more.
Kinder
Kinder will be performed on stage at Norden Farm on Friday 13th October at 11:30am and 2pm and Saturday 14th October at 11:30am and 2pm.
Escaping on a Kindertransport train, a small Czech-Jewish girl embarks on a mighty adventure. A poignant story told with puppets and cinematic shadow play, suitable for families with young children. Shows are accessible for neurodivergent audiences.
Oktoberfest
A Hoppy Place Oktoberfest will be at A Hoppy Place, off St Ives Road, Saturday 14th October, 12pm – 5pm and 6pm – 11pm.
Premium German and UK lagers and beers, and get 10% all night if you turn up in lederhosen or dirndl.
Maidenhead Repair Cafe
The monthly Repair Cafe returns on Saturday 14th October at the Eco Action Hub between 10am – 3pm.
The Repair Cafe is led by coaches who can teach you how to mend or fix your broken items. Items include electricals, laptops or software, textiles, picture frames and more.
It is free to book, but this must be done by 1pm on the last Thursday prior to the event.
Nature Tots at Woolley Firs
There will be a Nature Tots session on Monday 16th October at the Woolley Firs Environmental Educational Centre, Cherry Garden Lane, SL6 3LJ between 10am – 11.30am and 12:30pm – 2pm.
This outdoor event is for children aged 18 months – 4 years. They will need to be with an adult and it’s recommended that children are able to walk to get the best out of the event.

Networking at The Lord Grenfell
The next Face2Face Maidenhead Business Networking event will be at The Lord Grenfell, Oldfield Road on Thursday 19th October, 10am – 12pm.
Open to anyone in business, corporate or with a start up. Free drink and a mini workshop from holistic life coach Suzy Malhotra.
The Ed Sheeran Songbook
The Ed Sheeran Songbook tribute with Jack Bowater will be at Norden Farm on Friday 20th October at 8pm.
For one night only, Jack will perform Ed Sheeran songs, and even be at the bar afterwards for photo ops!
The Maidenhead Town Show
The 10th Maidenhead Town Show will be in the Nicholson Centre on Saturday 21st October, 10am – 4pm.
Free to attend, with crafts, bakes, entertainment, stalls, competitions and more.
Berkshire Birds of Prey
The Berkshire Birds of Prey will be back at Crocus at Dorney Court on Monday 23rd October between 10am – 4pm.
This event is free to attend and will take place in the half term outside in the walled garden. No booking necessary. If you would like to handle a bird, there will be a charge of £2 (cash only).
Morgan and West’s Massive Magic Show for Kids
Morgan and West’s Massive Magic Show for Kids will be at Norden Farm on Tuesday 24th October at 11:30am and at 2pm.
A great show for kids and grown-ups, with mysterious tricks, and larger than life laughs.
The Gingerbread Man and a Pot Full of Magic
The Gingerbread Man and a Pot Full of Magic will be showing at Norden Farm on Thursday 26th October at 11:30am and 2pm and Friday 27th October at 11:30am and 2pm.
A family performamce with puppets, pop-up sets and original music. Suitable for ages 3 years and over.
