Ockwells Junior Parkrun Maidenhead

About the Junior Parkrun

Junior Parkrun is a fun, free weekly event where children can run 2K in a park or open space. It’s designed for children aged 4-14 years, and it’s great way to get active and have fun. The Maidenhead Junior Parkrun is held at Ockwells Park in Cox Green every Sunday morning at 9am. It is non competitive as it’s not a race – and there’s no pressure to even finish the course.

How to take part

If it’s your first time then you’ll need to register for a barcode (details are found on the Ockwells Junior Parkrun website). Once you have your scannable barcode, you must remember to take it along each week as this records your time.

The course is safe and easy to take part in, and grown ups can run along with their children if they wish.

Once you have registered, you can go along as often as you like. It’s a great way to meet new people – and everyone is welcome to grab a post run drink at the Ockwells Cafe afterwards.

Run by Volunteers

Parkruns are great free activities that happen all over the world, and they are organised by a supportive group of volunteers.

If you would like to help out, then do have a look at how to volunteer on the website. You can offer as much time as you are able  – it doesn’t have to be every week.
