Barbie (12) will be showing in the walled garden at Stubbings Nursery, Henley Road on Thursday 2nd May. Doors open at 7pm, film will start when the sun goes down.

Tickets include a jacket potato with a choice of fillings. Drinks and snacks are available to purchase. Event will be postponed if the weather is bad.

Sailing Club Open Day

The Maidenhead Sailing Club has an open day, free to members and non-members. It will be on bank holiday Monday 6th May, between 12pm – 4pm at the Sailing Club, off Summerleaze Road, SL6 8HZ

There will be taster sessions on the lake, different boats available, aged 8 and over, BBQ and bar. You can also bring a picnic – and a change of clothes is advisable!

Battle of the Bands

The Maidenhead Festival Battle of the Bands continues this month with the Battle of the Bands Round 2 at Potion and Motion on Friday 10th May at 7:30pm and Acoustic Battle Final at A Hoppy Place on Wednesday 22nd May at 7pm.

The audience decides on the winner, who will win a slot on the main stage at the Maidenhead Festival in July.

Tickets are £3 online or £4 on the door and proceeds go towards the cost of running the festival.

Cookham Festival

The Cookham Festival returns to celebrate the arts, with talks, workshops, music, art and more, between Friday 3rd May – Sunday 19th May at various venues in Cookham.

Events include the Odney Sculpture Garden, a talk from Ross Kemp, The Big Cookham Wildlife Weekend, an evening with Lorraine Kelly and The Wind in the Willows A Cookham Adventure.

Dr Jingying Xu is a Level 3 Meditation Teacher, and she is holding workshops for children aged 8 – 11 years at Norden Farm starting on Saturday 11th May at 12pm.

These 45 minute sessions engage children and adults in mindful activities to explore their emotional intelligence and focus.

Eco Action Hub 1st Anniversary

The Eco Action Hub will celebrate their first year anniversary on Saturday 11th May from 10am at the Eco Action Hub, Nicholson Centre.

There will be cake at 11am and bubbles at 12pm. There will be special guests to chat to throughout the day, seedling swap, the Repair Cafe, activities, story telling and music.

Cox Green Village Fair will take place on Brill Green, Cox Green Lane on Saturday 11th May from 12pm.

There will be stalls, petting zoo, balloon sculptures, face painting, food, drink and icecream, music and more! Free entry.

Formosa Fest

Formosa Fest takes place on Saturday 18th May between 1pm – 10:30pm and Mill Lane, Cookham, SL6 9QT.

There will be a lineup of music acts, including the Country Chicks, Formosa frenzy, Matt Bond and the Poor Boys, DJ sets and local performers.
