Here is your monthly roundup of events, workshops and activities that are taking place in Maidenhead, Berkshire in February 2023. All details are included with links to the events for you to make your enquiry or book tickets – however we are not associated with them, so do check first in case of changes.
Free Friday Softball Sessions
Head along to Newlands Girls School, Farm Road, Maidenhead, SL6 5JB on Friday evenings at 18:00 – 19:30 to try out Softball! It’s something different, social and active – and these weekly Softball sessions introduce the sport through a series of fun activities and games.
Everyone is welcome (minimum age of 14) and no experience of Softball is needed. Sessions are run by qualified coaches and all you need is to come in your indoor sports attire. It’ll be held in the hall, with free parking in front of the school.

Free February Sing with the Tuneless Choir
Try a FREE taster with the Tuneless Choir Maidenhead throughout February on Wednesday 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd between 8pm – 9:15pm at the United Reformed Church, West Street. SL6 1RL
Choose to ‘sing like no-one is listening’ and feel good this Feb. Even if your notes are a bit wonky, you can still reap the benefits of singing with others and have a ton of fun! Paddle Fit
Paddle Fit will run every Monday evening starting in February between 6:30pm – 7:45pm at The Maidenhead Sailing Club, Summerleaze SL6 8HZ.
Run by Paddleboard Maidenhead, these will be fun paddle fitness sessions, initially in the dark (so bring a bike light or torch). Then as the weeks go on, the evenings will draw out and your will be able to experience some fabulous sunsets.
Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty (Pantomime and Normal Theatrical Society) will be showing at the Cox Green Community Centre on Saturday 4th February at 2:30pm and 7:30pm and Sunday 5th February at 2:30pm.
Matinee prices – adults £6 and children £3, and evening prices – adults £7.50 and OAP’s and children aged 10 – 16 £6.

Charity Race Night!
The Maidenhead Round Table and the Craufurd Arms present a Charity Race Night at The Craufurd Arms, Gringer Hill, SL6 7LY on Saturday 4th February from 8pm.
Bring your cash to bet on the horse racing and help to raise money for local charities for a night of hay raising fun. Book your table by calling 01628 675 410. Entry is free.
Repair Cafe Maidenhead Library
The monthly Repair Cafe returns to the Maidenhead Library St Ives Road on Saturday 11th February between 10am – 3pm.
This is a free event where repair coaches will teach you how to mend your broken household items. These include textiles, woodwork, small electrical items, dolls and more. Book by emailing repair.maidenhead@gmail.com by midday on the Thursday before the day.
Just Radiohead
Just Radiohead is the UK’s finest Radiohead tribute band. They will be playing live at Norden Farm on Saturday 11th February at 8pm.
They will be respectfully performing the best tunes from one of the planet’s best alternative rock bands.
Maidenhead Farmers’ Market
The monthly Farmer’s Market returns to Grove Road Carpark, on Sunday 12th February between 9:30am – 1pm.
There will be local produce, quality meat, dairy, bakery, preserves and more.
Speed Dating at The Vine
Pre-Valentine’s Day Speed Dating at The Vine pub, Market Street, SL6 8AD on Sunday 12th February between 8pm – 12am, with a singles party after 10pm.

Off The Tap Superbowl Sunday Show
The 57th annual Superbowl will start at 10pm on Sunday 12th February at Off The Tap on the High Street.
It will go on until around 4am and the kitchen will have a special Superbowl menu, available until the end of half time. Drinks deals at the bar for the event. Book by emailing info@offthetapbar.co.uk
Breathe at Norden Farm
Breathe is a story told on stage through puppetry, detailed sets and folk music, at Norden Farm on Tuesday 14th February at 11:30am and 2pm and Wednesday 15th February at 11:30am and 2pm.
Join three story tellers as they lead you through an enchanting experience, exploring the inner workings of trees and nature. Ages 5 years and over.
Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical (sing-a-along) PG
Roald Dahl’s story of Matilda – The Musical will be showing at during the half term. There will be school holiday family screenings on Tuesday 14th February at at 11am, Wednesday 15th February at 11:30am and 1:30pm and Friday 17th February at 11:30am and 2pm at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts.
£9 per adult, £7 for under 16’s.
Half Term Forest Adventures
Set on the edge of a nature reserve, there will be two days of Forest Adventures at The Braywick Nature Reserve, Hibbert Road on Wednesday 15th February and Thursday 16th February between 10am – 4pm.
Suitable for children aged 4-11, the days will be spent playing in the woods, and toasting marshmallows over a real campfire.
Children must be accompanied by an adult (adults do not need a ticket.)
Half Term Concertini
The electric string quartet known as String Fever return to Norden Farm on Saturday 18th February at 11:30am and 2pm.
They combine exceptional music skill with a talent to engage audiences with their own unique sound.
Power Ballad Bottomless Brunch
The next themed bottomless brunch at the Lord Grenfell on Oldfield Road will be on Saturday 18th February between 11am – 2pm.
Big up your hair, bang on the shoulder pads and turn back time for some power ballads! Live entertainment, prizes and sing-a-longs, and a choice of breakfast and two hours of bottomless Mimosas, Bloody Mary’s or Prosecco.
Annual Charity Make Maidenhead Pancake Race
Head along to The Nicholson’s Centre on Tuesday 21st February at 12:30pm to watch the fun annual Make Maidenhead pancake race.
All local business are encouraged to enter (with fancy dress titles up for grabs!) – and all proceeds go towards the Alexander Devine Hospice. Businesses can apply using the RBWM application form.
Winter Fruit Pruning at Ockwells Park
This free event starts at 10am meeting at the carpark at Ockwells Park on Saturday 25th February.
The main session will take place at the orchard nearby. Dress warmly and bring gardening gloves, secateurs and a hand saw if possible. Book via the eventbrite link.
