Easter Egg Hunts and Activities in the Maidenhead Area

 

Here is a list of activities and fun events happening in Maidenhead and the surrounding area this Easter 2024 for the family. This year, Good Friday falls on March 29th and Easter Sunday is on 31st March.

If you’re looking for egg hunts, crafts or fundays this Easter half term, then take a look! Information and also external links are there to help with you with your enquiry. However, we are not associated with the organising of the events, so do check first incase of changes or cancellations.

Easter Egg Hunt Cliveden

There will be an Easter Egg hunt at Cliveden National Trust, running from Friday 29th March – Sunday 15th April, 10:30am – 3:30pm. There will be an activity sheet with a trail map, with activities to find around the estate. Activity sheets also come with bunny ears. Then once you have finished, collect your chocolate egg or allergen alternative. £3 per map, plus entry fee for non national trust members.

Meet the Easter Bunny at Off The Tap on Sunday 7th April between 10.30am – 12.30pm. with games and egg painting crafts. Tickets are available at the bar, and breakfast tickets optional.

Meet the Easter Bunny at The Pond House on Sunday 31st March between 10am – 12pm. There will be children’s breakfast and a morning of fun and games. £8 per child. Ask at the bar for details.

Totally Locally Cookham Easter Trail

Cookham Rise Primary and Cookham Dean schools are joining forces again following the success of last year with The Totally Locally Easter Trail in Cookham between Thursday 28th March – Saturday 16th April.

There is a walking trail through the village. Find the clues and solve the puzzle to be in with a chance of winning a prize. The Easter bunnies will be out on the trail to give you encouragement and to hand out some Easter treats! Head to the link for the trail map!

Free Easter Crafts

There will be free Easter arts and crafts in the Nicholson Centre in Maidenhead on Saturday 23rd March at 10:30am – 12:30pm which is organised by the Craft Coop. There will be free Easter craft activities on a first come first serve basis.

Quest Explore Day

There is a selection of one hour taster workshops for children of all ages and their families as part of the Quest Family Fest that runs over Easter at Norden Farm on Friday 29th March from 9:30am. The workshops will be running throughout the day for different age groups, such as mini chocolate egg and lollipop decorating, circus skills, and many more. Sessions are selling out fast.

Good Friday Family Funday

**Event Postponed** There will be a family funday organised by Angela’s Appeals on Friday 29th March at 1pm – 4pm at Oaken Grove Park, Maidenhead. There will be stalls selling crafts, refreshments, games and a free Easter Egg hunt.

Maidenhead Easter Ten (and children’s races)

The Maidenhead Athletic Club will be hosting their 69th Easter Ten, which is a fast flat course, fully marshalled and on a mix of closed roads and pavements. The event will be held on Good Friday 29th March at 9:30am from Maidenhead Office Park, SL6 3QH.

There is also an Easter Mile race for children in school years 5 – 8 starting at 8:45am. And an Easter Half Mile race for children in years reception – year 4, starting at 8:30am on fully closed roads.

Easter Family Funday Grenfell Park

Organised by the Maidenhead Bridge Rotary Club, the Easter Family Funday will be on Saturday 30th March at 11am – 3pm at Grenfell Park. There will be stalls, games, refreshments, fairground rides, the Easter Egg Treasure Hunt and much more. Free to attend.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt!

The Maidenhead Round Table will be organising another Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday 31st March at 11:30am – 3pm at NMCC Sports Bar, Summerleaze Park. There will be a bar, face painting and glitter from Sass and Sparkle and stalls selling crafts and treats. Dairy and gluten free eggs available.

Easter Weekend at the Kings Arms

The King’s Arms in Cookham will be celebrating Easter with a weekend of family fun. Friday 29th March, 12pm – 3pm will be a kid’s party with a bouncy castle, wild science animal experience, garden games and the Easter hunt will be between 12pm – 3pm.  Then, live music from Sugar and Sax between 9pm – 11pm. Saturday 30th March, 12pm – 5pm will be an Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny and garden games throughout the day. And on Easter Sunday 31st March, 12pm – 3pm there will be an Easter Egg Hunt all day and garden games. And music between 5pm – 8pm with Giles Stelfox.

The Make Maidenhead Easter Egg Hunt

There will be Easter fun in the town centre between Tuesday 2nd April – Sunday 14th April. Pick up an entry from the Nicholson Centre, Maidenhead Library or the Waterside Quarter Marketing Suite. Then simply find the bunnies at the locations on the map – there’s 22 to find!

Each bunny has got an egg with the letter of the alphabet. Find all the letters and unscramble them to make up an Easter greeting. Then pick up a chocolate treat from the Waterside Quarter Marketing Suite (between 2nd – 14th April, 9am – 5pm).

Some Easter activities happening in the surrounding area:

The Binfield Easter Egg Hunt. Similar to their Scarecrow trail, purchase a trail map from the Foxes Den cafe, Binfield stores or Crema Cafe and go on your adventures. Running from Friday 29th April – Friday 5th April.

Easter Trail at Hughenden Manor National Trust High Wycombe between Saturday 23rd March – Sunday 7th April, 10am – 4pm. Encounter life-size mythical creatures and solve riddles and complete ten activities on your quest. At the end, receive a ‘dragon’ egg. 

Easter Hop Along at Crocus at Dorney Court between Saturday 23rd March – Sunday 7th April, 9am – 4pm. Go along and search for the puzzles hidden throughout the walled garden. Solve the clues to find the winning word and claim your prize! Clue sheets are available at the shop for £4.75 per child. Prize every time.

Spring on the Farm Odds Farm, Wooburn Common from Friday 29th March – Sunday 14th April, with an springtime scavenger hunt, spring arts and crafts and live shows in the marquee. Also meet the fluffy lambs, cheeky goats and piglets.

Easter Explorers at the Windsor Great Park Environmental Centre, hosted by The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust between Tuesday 2nd April – Thursday 4th April. Learn about the exciting eggs you’ll find in nature in this trail and win a chocolate egg.

The Lexicon Express will be running mini tours at the Lexicon Bracknell between Thursday 28th March – Sunday 14th April to raise money for charity. Complete the Easter hunt on your mini tour of the shopping centre. There are prizes to be won for each completed Easter Hunt leaflet.

Beale Wildlife Park in Lower Basildon have Easter activities over the holidays, including find the Easter Bunny, animal egg hunting and face painting as well as other activities.

Wellington Country Park in Riseley have plenty going on over Easter, including The Mini Easter Eggstravaganza (for 4 years and under) between Tuesday 26th March – Thursday 28th March, Easter Eggstravaganza (for 8 years and under) between Friday 29th March – Sunday 7th April and The mega Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday 31st March.

Black Park Country Park in Wexham have an Easter dinosaur egg-stravaganza trail, running between Monday 8th April – Friday 12th April. Online booking advised, but tickets are available on the day. Collect your trail map and look for the dinosaur figures and gient wooden eggs hidden in the woods.
