August Events in Maidenhead
The summer holidays 2023 are here and there are plenty of events taking place in the Maidenhead area. As usual, this handy list provides you will details, location and times. Pigs and Bears Don’t Come in Pairs
Pigs and Bears Don’t Come in Pairs will be shown at Norden Farm, Altwood Road on Tuesday 1st August at 11:30am and at 2pm and Wednesday 2nd August at 11:30am and at 2pm.
This story is told with puppets with original music. Suitable for families with children aged 3 – 7 years.
Birds of Prey at Crocus Dorney Court
The Berkshire Birds of Prey will visit Crocus at Dorney Court, SL4 6QP on Thursday 3rd August at 10am – 4pm.
This is a free outdoor event to see the birds of prey up close. To handle a bird it will be £2 (cash only).
The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny
The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny will be performed by Quantum Theatre at Stubbings Nursery, Henley Road on Thursday 3rd August at 2:30pm (doors open at 1:30pm).
The adaptation of this well loved classic story by Beatrix Potter will be 90 minutes long, with a 10 minute interval.
Norden Farm Night Market
The monthly night market will be at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Saturday 5th August, 6pm – 9pm.
The markets are mostly outdoors, and are French inspired. Find artisan stall with arts, crafts and gifts.
Kite Making Workshops
There will be kite making workshops running at Norden Farm, on Saturday 5th August, Friday 18th August and Saturday 19th August at 2pm and 3:30pm.
These are in preparation for the Kite Festival which takes place on Punt Hill at Boyne Grove Park on Sunday September 3rd. Booking required, see details below.
Maidenhead Rowing Regatta
The Maidenhead Rowing Regatta will be on Saturday 5th August starting from 8am, up until approx 6pm at the Maidenhead Rowing Club, River Road, Taplow, SL6 OAT.
There will be a bar, teas and coffees, a BBQ and cakes.
Braywick Nature Festival
The Braywick nature Festival will be on Saturday 5th August between 12pm – 5pm at the Braywick Nature Reserve, Hibbert Road.
Music, pond dipping, nature trails, workshops and more. Free entry. Nearest carpark is the Braywick Leisure Centre.
Thames Valley Adventure Playground Funday
TVAP Funday at TVAP, Bath Road, Taplow on Saturday 5th August between 11am – 3pm.
Family fun, games, raffle, tombola, toy sale, soft play, faintpainting, BBQ and more. £3 per person.
Super Mario Bros Movie (PG)
The Super Mario Brthers Movie will be showing at Norden Farm on Tuesday 8th August at 4:15pm.
Join Mario and Luigi on their adventures in a magical new world.
Gin and Rum on the Farm
Gin and Rum on the Farm festival will be at Stroud Farm, Fifield, SL6 2NS on Saturday 12th August, 12pm – 9pm.
There will be several Gin and Rum bars from local and national distilleries. There will also be cider, beer and prosecco on site.
There will be live music and DJ’s live on the stage.
Repair Cafe
The Repair Cafe returns to the Eco Action Hub, Nicholson Centre on Saturday 12th August between 10am – 3pm.
The Repair Cafe is run by volunteers. The repair coaches will teach you how to mend and repair your broken items and bring them back to life. Items include electronics, woodwork, small textile items, IT assistance and more.
It is free to take your item along, but you must register in advance.
Picnic and Games Social
Join the Maidenhead Rotaract for a picnic and games at Oaken Grove Park on Saturday 12th August from 1pm.

Maidenhead Farmers’ Market
The monthly Farmers’ Market will return to Grove Road car park, SL6 1SQ on Sunday 13th August between 9:30am -1pm.
There will be fresh local produce such as fruit, vegetables, preserves and honey, meat, fish and more.
Family Funday
Angela’s Appeals will be hosting a funday at Desborough Park, Larchfield on Sunday 13th August, 12pm – 5pm.
Free entry, with games, inflatables, stalls, music, food and drink, facepainting and more.
Come and Sing!
The Come and Sing! series continues at Norden Farm on Tuesday 15th August with Come and Sing Country and Tuesday 22nd August with Come and Sing Mash-Ups at 7:30pm.
Hosted by Tabitha – the face and voice behind The Tuneless Choir Maidenhead. Experience how it feels to sing in parts and make some awesome noise. No experience necessary.
The Lego Movie (U)
The Lego Movie will be showing at Norden Farm on Thursday 17th August at 4:15pm.
Follow the adventures on Emmet, an ordinary LEGO figurine who always follows the rules. He finds himself drafted in on an mission.
Maiden’s Head End of Summer Party
The Maiden’s Head End of Summer Party will be at The Maiden’s Head on Sunday 27th August from 2pm.
Free entry with live music, featuring DJ Slater and Dan Pryde.
Bank Holiday Family Funday
Family Funday and Small Vintage Car Show at Oaken Grove Park on Monday 28th August, 1pm – 6pm.
There will be stalls, family fun and classic cars.
